Abstract: The fabrication of extruded-microstructure tellurite glass fibers for erbium-doped fiber lasers has demonstrated the versatility of this fibre fabrication technique. We also show that tellurite glass should allow the development of Tm-doped fibre laser systems. © 2011 AOS.
