Abstract: A new species of Cryptandra Sm. is described from the Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Parks in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory, C. triplex K.R.Thiele ex Kellermann. It is closely related to C. intratropica W.Fitzg. and C. filiformis A.R.Bean. A distribution map, a photograph of the holotype and a key to Cryptandra species from northern Australia are provided.
