Abstract:	This report describes the stratigraphic sequence and the structural geology of the area. The stratigraphic sub-divisions have been discussed in detail and also many features defining deformation within the units. Often phenomena pertaining to points largely of academic interest have been mentioned. Although not always significant in determining the regional geology, these have been included to provide a possible basis for future detailed work in this area.
