Abstract: | Genome-level studies are contributing to a major renaissance in crop science. In wheat, there are now more than 500,000 expressed sequence tags, and these are being used in conjunction with specially designed deletion stocks to unravel patterns of genome evolution, recombination and polyploid genome behavior. |
