Abstract: The aim of this research is to observe the evolutionary relationships within and between frog species, as well as to discover potentially useful medicinal peptides. The two main areas of research of this thesis are the characterisation of peptides from frogs belonging to the genus Litoria and the analysis of negative ion fragmentations from large peptides.
