Abstract: The biosynthesis of the acridone alkaloids melicopicine (1,2,3,4-tetramethoxy-10-methylacridone) and evoxanthine (1-methoxy-10-methyl-2,3-methylenedioxyacridone), from Acronychia baueri Schott and Evodia xanthoxyloides F. Muell. (respectively) has been studied.
