dc.description.abstract | Wind energy has a vital role to play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Australia. The wind energy industry in South Australia is currently in the early stages of development and various stakeholders are uncertain about how the development process in South Australia applies to wind farms. This article describes and analyses the general development process set out by the Development Act 1993 (SA) and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999 (Cth) and their application to wind farms; it also discusses the lessons to be derived for South Australia from recent Victorian cases concerning wind farm developments. | - |
