dc.description.abstract | Fluoride phosphate and ultraphosphate glasses doped with europium, cerium, terbium and lead ions were melted under oxidizing and reducing conditions. Their photosensitivity was examined by UV laser-induced absorption and waveguide writing. Strong waveguides are created for Eu2+, Ce3+ and Tb3+ dopants. High long-term and thermal stability of laser-induced absorption is observed for Eu2+ doped glass. The waveguide creation is explained by the color center model. | - |
