Abstract: | The combination of chiral cobalt β-ketoiminato or cobalt salen complexes and meso 1,2-dioxines leads to catalytic asymmetric ring-opening affording enantio-enriched cis ghydroxy enones; subsequent capture by an ylide affords enantio-enriched cyclopropanes. |
