Abstract: Vision Zero is an image of a desirable future society in which no one would be killed or seriously injured in road traffic A vision of zero deaths and serious injuries. It was adopted by the Swedish Parliament in 1997 as the basis for work on road safety in that country. (Tingvall, 1998) Is Vision Zero realistic? Most people think that Vision Zero is a nice idea, but obviously impractical.
