dc.description.abstract | As they are usually defined it is difficult to distinguish between etch and epigene, and epigene and subaerial landforms. Etch forms are exposed weathering fronts but features caused by the erosion of weathered rock developed on previously exposed etch surfaces (second phase etching) can be classified as epigene. Subaerial forms are due to erosion without prior weathering. They exist, but are relatively scarce. German Obwohl eigentlich klar definiert, ist es (im Gelände) oft schwierig zwischen Lösungsformen und epigenen Landformen, beziehungsweise zwischen epigenen und subaerischen Landformen zu unterscheiden. Lösungsformen sind freigelegte Verwitterungs fronten. Merkmale, die durch die Erosion von verwittertem Gestein auf zuvor freigelegten Lösungsoberflächen (Lösungsprozesse der zweiten Phase) hervorgerufen worden sind, werden alsepigen eingestuft. Subaerische Formen sind auf Erosion ohne vorherige Verwitterung zurückzuführen. Sie existieren, sind aber verhältnismäßig selten. | - |
