Abstract: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Reactions between <jats:styled-content>$\rm [RuCl_{2}(PPh_{3})_{2}(Bu^{t}_{2}bpy)]$<jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="graphic/tex2gif-ueqn-1.gif" xlink:title="equation image" /></jats:styled-content>, (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>), and terminal alkynes in the presence of Tl[PF<jats:sub>6</jats:sub>], followed by chromatography on alumina, have given the mono‐alkynyl complexes <jats:styled-content>$\rm [RuCl(C{\equiv}CR)(PPh_{3})_{2}(Bu^{t}_{2}bpy)]$<jats:inline-graphic xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xlink:href="graphic/tex2gif-ueqn-2.gif" xlink:title="equation image" /></jats:styled-content> (R = Ph <jats:bold>2</jats:bold>, C<jats:sub>6</jats:sub>H<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>NO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>−4 <jats:bold>3</jats:bold>, CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>Me <jats:bold>4</jats:bold>, Fc <jats:bold>5</jats:bold>, CPh<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(OH) <jats:bold>6</jats:bold>), of which the single‐crystal XRD molecular structures of <jats:bold>3</jats:bold>, <jats:bold>4</jats:bold> and <jats:bold>5</jats:bold> are reported.</jats:p>
