Abstract: | Advance care directives are rarely used by people with chronic spinal cord injury, but they could be used more often to protect not only against unwanted treatments but to ensure that desired treatment occurs, particularly as there may be differing perceptions regarding quality of life between the patient and those providing acute care. |
