The Indigenisation of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics is the challenge Michael throws to pre-service teachers in fourth year programs. It is very much an ‘open slather’ for teachers as the direction from ACARA is very limited in the Mathematics domain. The recent initiatives in STEM programs are going some way in addressing this disparity. This practical demonstration in Years 1, 5 and 7 will give teachers some glimpse of the possibilities for classroom context.-
