Abstract: It is important for developing countries to enact IT policies that enable them to take advantage of the new technologies and any consequent economic development. This paper attempts to gain an understanding of how developing countries, in particular Venezuela and Nepal, could incorporate information technology in the overall socio-economic development through a definite information technology strategy.
