By 2050,the number of annual deaths caused by antimicrobial resistance(AMR)is estimated to exceed4millionin both Asia and Africa, which is higher than that anticipated in other regions of the world.1Increasedusageofantibioticsin some low-and middle-income countries (LMICs) is predicted to lead to this higher vulnerability and negative impacts of AMR,with90%of the global impact of AMR expected to be experienced in Asia.
