Abstract

The conditions dependent on wetting film stability (WFS) for differeent flotation modes created by the enhancement of the particle bubble inertial interaction by the free movement of the bubble surfaces were studied. The modes of flotation dynamics were determine by the WFS which in turn effects the mechanism that control the flotation domain. The upper boundary of low WFS was controlled by the stability of the particle bubble aggregate. The upper boundary for high WFS was controlled by rebound because latter reduced the attachment efficiency by a factor of 30 or more even with repetitive collision.
