Abstract
Early childhood services are a ‘gender desert’, Dr Martyn Mills-Bayne writes, for a number of reasons, not least of which is the common misperception that men aren’t suited to or good at educating young children. A more gender-diverse early childhood workforce is needed to encourage viewpoint diversity among educators and enrich children’s experience of early learning.
