Abstract
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) commissioned this independent NHMRC review to provide assurance that the revision of the Australian Guidelines for thePrevention and Control of Infection in Healthcare (2019) is grounded in the most up-to-date and relevantscientific evidence. This literature review has been undertaken to specifically address the clinical question: Is the use of chlorhexidine contributing to increased resistance to chlorhexidine and/or antibiotics?
