Abstract
This work developed from research undertaken during a 2014 Smithsonian Institute Artist's Residency in Washington DC at the Dibner and Cullman Libraries, examining images from the history of science produced with the aid of early microscopes. Interested in the sensory and material qualities of the images as well as their subject matter, the work explores the interrelatedness of life and and asks how it might be visually represented.
