dc.description.abstractWe design practical nonlinear holey fibers through a genetic algorithm, achieving dispersions of 0/spl plusmn/0.1 ps/nm/km between 1.5 and 1.6 /spl mu/m. The fabrication tolerances are also estimated through a dispersion sensitivity analysis.
