Abstract
A report on the research project -Co-Designing an Intergenerational Arts Program for South Australian Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Communities. The goal of the project is to develop an Intergenerational Arts Program (IAP) for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in South Australia (SA). The project focuses on enhancing services within neighbourhood and community houses and centres (NCHCs) to support older CALD individuals experiencing social isolation and related mental health challenges. Funded by a Global Arts and Health Alliance Grant (GAHA) in 2023, this research project aims to lay the foundation for co-designing an intergenerational arts initiative for CALD communities. This report details the twelve-month project’s methodology, analyses key findings, and provides recommendations for future actions.
