Abstract
Understanding the sociological process by which innovations are developed and adopted provides an interesting challenge. Evidence from the Australian bioindustry reveals how the integration of new biotechnologies is a dynamic process of sanction and integration which is shaped by multiple stakeholders. Evidence reveals that the social foundations of innovation uptake, technology acceptance and integration rested on the micropolitics of sense-making and relational networking.
