Concert One in the Series included the Australian premiere of Street Songs by contemporary British composer, Steve Martland. These involved collaboration with virtuoso percussionist, Nick Parnell. Carl Crossin was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2007 "for service to music, particularly as a choral conductor and founding director of the Adelaide Chamber Singers".
