Metabolic indicators were examined in animals where deficiency was induced with either nitrous oxide (N2O) or by feeding diets of low cobalt content. Results showed that vitamin B12 dependent enzymes in the liver of ruminants appeared to be affected only at a late stage of deficiency. However changes in concentrations of metabolites of these pathways occured earlier.477349 bytesapplication/pdfenVitamin B12 deficiency.Vitamin B12 in animal nutritionCobalt in animal nutrition.Ruminants Nutrition.Investigation of vitamin B12 deficiency in ruminants : a thesis in fulfilment of the requirements for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Adelaide / by Wendy Babidge.Thesis
