While the most common approaches are focussed on the last dental visit, how long ago it occurred, and the place of the visit, there is also a strong interest in capturing a longer-term view of people’s access to dental care. Another approach asks people about their usual pattern of visits to a dentist. This section uses both approaches, and additionally describes people's experience of financial barriers in obtaining dental care.enCopyright status unknownDental careBook chapter1000018366525238Chrisopoulos, S.
