Abstract: An essay is presented on the literary migration and changes in the Adelaide, South Australia following the appointment of Hallam Tennyson as governor of South Australia. It discusses interest of people in Victorian literature in the 19th century and Tenyson's first novel "Clara Morison," which illustrates the meaning of culture.
