Abstract: | We describe the first power scalable, Q-switched, cryogenically cooled, resonantly pumped, Ho:YAG laser oscillator. The output energy was extracted from a confocal resonator with a single-pass pump geometry. Pulsed operation at higher average powers will be reported. |
