The angular deviation associated with the propagation of ultra high energy cosmic ray protons through turbulent intergalactic magnetic fields is examined including the effect of interactions with the cosmic microwave background. It is found that the deviation of the particles is consistent with diffusion ideas but the magnitude of the deviation is appreciably less than suggested by simple models for a given mean field strength and observational energy.-
