Abstract: | We present an analytical model of wave tunneling from a dielectric waveguide to a dielectric slab, through an array of dielectric stripes that alternate with narrow airgaps. The model is expected to provide insight into how this leakage process can be manipulated by engineering the physical structure of the array. This holds potential for wideband all-dielectric tunneling multiplexers for millimeter-wave, terahertz, and infrared frequencies. |
