Abstract: The research area of FD and FTC has been developed for several decades. Although fruitful results have been reported in literature, FD and FTC for dynamic systems still need to be deeply investigated due to their academic meaning as well as practical one, which is the topic of this book. In this chapter, we shall briefly describe a survey of FD and FTC of dynamic systems and formulate the interesting problems to be solved in this book. In addition, the preview of each chapter is provided.
