Abstract: The Programmable Interface Controller with Autonomous Robotic Spraying Operation (PICARSO) system is a cable-driven painting system, with image processing capabilities. It is used as a robotic graffiti artist, with the capacity to paint both raster and vector images of any size. This paper describes the design of the system, its mechanical and electrical components, the kinematics of the cable-driven system, its imaging processing capabilities as well as results illustrating its performance.
