Abstract: | The key issues in mine environmental management, decommissioning and rehabilitation are presented. The research and development efforts are expended on mine environmental management and rehabilation strategies in compliance with government regulations. The efforts are effective in guiding mine environmental management and minimising offsite environmental impacts, important in satisfying regulator scrutiny of mining operations and adherence to lease conditions. |
