Abstract
This research investigates the interrelated spatial and pedagogical impacts of the unprecedented funding for school infrastructure across all Australian primary schools announced in February 2009 by the federal Labor Government. The policy, titled Building the Education Revolution (BER), was a response to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC). Whether the policy achieved education transformation is an important question, particularly given the investment by Australian taxpayers.
