Abstract

The advances in the ion exchange (IX) technology in the last decades relate mainly to newapplications. The resin in moisturised mix (RIMM) process provides significant improvements to theIX process itself. In a way there are some similarities with the resin in pulp (RIP) technology. TheRIMM process combines simultaneously leaching and sorption, being conducted in the state of amoisturised mix (wet solids), and not in a pulp. The sorption is basically performed by an ionexchange resin
