dc.description.abstractArgues that Mind, as it develops through the pre and post-natal periods of life, displays a number of key characteristics that together amount to a form of creative organization. Attempts to locate and frame this argument by asking how the issues raised, within the scope of cognitive science and philosophy of Mind, might be relevant to wider social and political concerns, and by examining relevant contextual ideas in ontology and biology such as emergence, complexity and organization, and the features of simple organisms.en
