Abstract
This paper investigates the performance of practical codes for the problem of Slepian-Wolf coding over broadcast channels, where a message is transmitted to multiple users with different amounts of side information available at each receiver. Density evolution analysis for repeat-accumulate codes on erasure channels is extended to this setup, where the side information is modeled as the output of a virtual correlation channel. Analytic expressions to describe the convergence region for erasure channels are obtained and it is shown by numerical tools that similar results also apply for AWGN channels.
