Abstract

Nanoscale polymeric aggregates prepared via the self-assembly of amphiphilic copolymers have emerged as next-generation vectors in drug delivery. However, there is still much to understand regarding the influence of polymer microstructure and physicochemical drug properties on the size, shape, stability, and dispersity of polymeric aggregates. A combination of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, light and X-ray scattering techniques were used to investigate the stability, size and morphology of polymer aggregates. Previously unexplored in literature, this study represents a novel systemic analysis of poly(ethylene glycol-b-caprolactone) copolymer self-assembly in water.
