dc.description.abstractTele-social work has the potential to broaden the scope of social work practice by improving the accessibility and flexibility of social work services to individuals and groups. This chapter discusses the creative ways in which tele-social work is being implemented, both in Australian and international contexts; challenges and barriers experienced by practitioners, educators, and students. It adds to the knowledge of teaching tele-social work in a classroom setting to build students' confidence and competence in use of technology for social work practice. It proposes to have a cultural shift in academia towards up skilling undergraduate students in using technology for practice purposes.
