Abstract
Reconnect stands as the signature 'early intervention' program for young people facing homelessness in Australia. However, what happens to the program beyond 2017 is uncertain. The premise of this article is that the future of early intervention and Reconnect have to be considered in terms of new arguments derived from schoollinked services research, place-based 'community of schools and youth services' models, or what has been called a 'collective impact' approach.
