Abstract
Liquid biopsies are an alternative method of disease diagnosis to tissue biopsy where fluids such as saliva or blood are tested for disease markers. This research investigated the feasibility and optimum parameters surrounding plasma-activated capture surfaces that can isolate these markers and detect them electrochemically. It was found that these surfaces can be used as single use sensors for marker detection.
