dc.description.abstractA novel zero-dimensional (0D)/two-dimensional (2D) hetero-junction of a ZnₓCd₁₋ₓS nano-particle loaded phosphorene nano-sheet was assembled to achieve highly-efficient visible-light photocatalytic H2 production. Further mechanistic insight into the high performance and strong interaction in this nano-composite provides guidance to design numerous 0D/2D hetero-structures towards various applications in catalysis, electronics and opto-electronics.
