An almost complete sedimentary record of Cainozoic sediments from Eocene to Recent is known in the Willunga Basin. The surface formations have been mapped and described, special attention being paid to the stratigraphy of the area. The subsurface geology has been interpreted from bore logs, and attention is drawn to the conditions of sedimentation and changes in facies of the strata.en
