Spin dependent structure functions in the cloudy bag model

dc.description.abstractWe derive expressions for the integrals of the spin dependent structure functions g1(x) for the proton and the neutron in the context of the cloudy bag model. We find that the neutron contributes 5–10% to the Bjorken sum rule, while there is a corresponding decrease for the proton's contribution. It is difficult to reconcile these results with those reported in a recent experiment.
