This book is based largely on 10 taped interviews of Lena Illiashevich made by the late Mrs Elizabeth Yeatman in 1982, with additional material and photographs supplied by George and Olena Williams. Lena trained as a doctor in Russia, but after emigration to Australia worked as a domestic for Mrs Elizabeth Yeatman and formed a strong friendship with the Yeatman family.
