Abstract

The Student Voice Australia Pilot has been an ambitious initiative. It brought together ten institutions to investigate how a cross-sector engagement with students, staff, tertiary institutions, national agencies and student representative bodies could generate and support authentic student informed decision making and governance. This evaluation evidences an emergent roadmap for how institutions can work together to achieve outcomes for students and staff. The SVA project has shown how a cross-institutional approach to developing and enhancing genuine and authentic student partnering is possible and desirable for the tertiary sector. Moreover, it provides an insight into how the tertiary sector can collaborate to develop applied citizenship and governance experiences for students in real world settings.
