Abstract

Denis Edwards has incorporated much of Walter Kasper’s pneumatology; but Edwards has proceeded further to apply this pneumatology to creation, incarnation, and ecology. A pneumatologically-conditioned trinitarian understanding of the nature of God as inter-relational, as Kasper has developed and Edwards has drawn upon and taken further, leads to the profound realization that the fundamental nature of all reality, not only that of humans, is relational, mutually responsible and oriented to love.
