Abstract
There is an increasing social awareness of green house gas emissions associated with global warming. The construction and property industries have acknowledged this concern and this has led to the formation of the Green Building Council of Australia and a rating system to measure the extent to which buildings have implemented environmentally friendly techniques. This study investigates the benefits for owners and developers of Green Star rated commercial buildings. Similarly, the study explores the benefits of translating these benefits from the commercial buildings sector to the industrial buildings sector.
