Abstract

The purpose of this study was- to determine if, during -gait, measured leg movements could differentiate between two groups of individuals known to have different cerebral lateralization. Very few studies have investigated the relationship of lower limb behaviour to cerebral dominance during gait. More studies have investigated the relationship between lower limb preference and cerebral dominance. The 3SPACE Tracker, which was shown to be accurate and reliable, was used to measure bilateral 3-dimensional femoral movements, simultaneously, relative to a central source, during gait. Pressure sensitive insoles from two Krusen Limb Load Monitors identified the single-stance phase of gait.
