dc.description.abstractIn the digital information age, every organisation employs information systems to help it achieve its strategic objectives. These information systems will be used by users with their own specific roles and to make decision. Typically, the information within an organisation doubles every 18 month, so users, especially the top-level manager, can easily be overloaded with information. This situation creates an opportunity for visualisation techniques to enhance the ability of the user to quickly obtain and comprehend the information required for decision-making processes. This research intends to develop an information visualisation framework that will assist the future designers of visualisations, with the framework providing a set of requirements, constraints and guidelines. A case study strategy, including observation and interview, will be used to answer the research questions and will be analysed to establish the visualisation framework.
